Reishi. The most studied adaptogenic mushroom in the world, now in concentrated dual-extracted liquid form.
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), also known as Lingzhi, has been used in East Asian traditional medicine for over 2,000 years - longer than almost any other functional mushroom. Modern research has caught up with that tradition, and Reishi is now one of the most extensively studied medicinal fungi in the world, with a large body of work focused on its effects on immune function, inflammation, stress and sleep.
Full Fruiting Body. Dual Extracted. Not Mycelium on Grain.
This extract is made by Feel Supreme from full fruiting body Reishi - not mycelium on grain, which dilutes potency - and uses a dual extraction process (water and alcohol) to capture both the water-soluble beta-glucans and the alcohol-soluble triterpenoids (ganoderic acids). Most of what makes Reishi worth taking requires both extraction methods to get out of the mushroom and into the bottle.
What the research focuses on
Immune modulation - Research has shown Reishi's beta-glucans can activate macrophages and natural killer cells - the immune system's frontline responders. Studies are ongoing into exactly how this plays out in practice, but the mechanism is well-documented and it's one of the more robust areas of Reishi research.
Inflammation - The ganoderic acids unique to Reishi have attracted a lot of anti-inflammatory research interest. Studies have looked at their role in supporting a balanced inflammatory response, including early work on joint inflammation markers. It's an active area and the research is still building, but it's one of the reasons Reishi features so prominently in functional health protocols.
Stress and sleep - Reishi is classified as an adaptogen - a compound studied for its ability to support the body's response to physiological and psychological stress. Research has explored its effects on cortisol regulation and sleep quality, particularly its potential to support deeper, more restorative sleep. This is one of the most commonly reported benefits among long-term Reishi users.
Why liquid extract over capsules
The liquid format delivers active compounds faster and at higher bioavailability than encapsulated powders. There's no capsule shell to break down and no filler material diluting the dose - just the extract, absorbed directly. The 10:1 concentration ratio means each 1ml serving is equivalent to 1,500mg (1.5g) of raw Reishi - a meaningful therapeutic dose, not a token inclusion.
How to take it
3 pipettes (1ml) added to water, juice or taken directly under the tongue, once daily. The 60ml bottle contains 60 servings - a 2-month supply at the standard dose. Can be taken morning or evening; many users prefer evening given Reishi's association with relaxation and sleep support.

What is Reishi good for?
Reishi has been most studied for its effects on immune function, inflammation, stress and sleep. There's also emerging research into metabolic health and age-related cognitive decline - interesting areas, though still early days in terms of human clinical data.
Why Powerful.ie
We're the Irish distributor for Feel Supreme. The Reishi liquid extract is one of the most potent formats of this mushroom available in Ireland - full fruiting body, dual extracted, 10:1 concentration. If you've been buying Reishi in capsule form and haven't tried the liquid, the difference in potency is significant.
Want to understand functional mushrooms better?
Reishi is one of six main functional mushroom varieties with deep traditional use and a meaningful modern research base. We've put together a guide covering Reishi alongside Lion's Mane, Turkey Tail, Chaga, Cordyceps, and Shiitake - what they're traditionally used for, what the research is currently looking at, and how they differ.
